Car Rally brings local business community together to raise funds for SBNH
On September 28th, 2008, 31 teams gathered to once again join in the driving challenge of the year. Team challenge, business community participation, and value added fun creates a day of laughs, team building and friendly competition not to mention $17000 in the bank to be used for helping children and families in Burnaby.
Not only did teams navigate their way through the streets of the Lower mainland deciphering riddles and clues, they also checked in at a number of interactive checkpoints. The highlight of which was a safety check pit stop organized by Dave Barnes on behalf of his company Collision Plus- Gord Ron’s Auto Metal.
We appreciate the hard work of this year’s planning committee including Anne Baker (Allegra Print and Imaging); Mike Barnes(Gord Ron’s Auto);Gill Sherwood(G&F Financial Group);Jaco Noteboom, Janice Ho, and Jen Jacobs from the SBNH board. Also helping out on the day of the event was Jim O’keefe (Zeemac); Naoko Widman (SBNH volunteer photographer), John Aupperle and Michael Beck tallying up the scores in the command post, and many of our Neighbourhood House employees.
